Food is great, all home made. The best pistachio crousant I ever had

This gem of a spot is a gift to Lake County. Tonight, our book club went to enjoy the ambiance while engaging in our discussion. There was live entertainment soothing patrons in the background with his melodic vocals. We all had a few bites and meals to share which were delicious. The desserts were picturesque and scrumptious.The service was phenomenal... the manager checked on how we liked our books and our meals. We all cannot wait to return. This setting has something for everyone.

It was a pleasant surprise not what I expected. The atmosphere was great and the decorations made it a great experience. The food was walk up and order, but it was brought to you by a server.

Such a wonderfully relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Great options for pizza, panini, pastry and coffee. We love the drinks, gelato, pasta and cannoli. Pistachio croissant is also a must try.

This adorable Italian restaurant has so many fabulous breakfast options, but on this morning I decided to go with the Egg Bites and they were absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend you try them if you have a chance to. They also have homemade gelato 🍧 and sorbet, that I cannot wait to try because it looks amazing 🤩.

This Italian market is truly a hidden gem. Everything is made fresh right in front of you, and all the ingredients are imported straight from Italy—you can taste the difference.The pistachio cream croissant was a standout: perfectly light, flaky, and had just the right amount of crunch. We also tried the pistachio cannoli, and it was absolutely amazing—crispy shell, smooth filling, and just the right level of sweetness.We had a cortado and a latte as well, and both were made with some of the best espresso I’ve ever had—smooth, rich, and full of flavor.The margherita and fungi pizza squares were equally impressive. The crust was light and crispy, with just the right amount of sauce (not too much, which I always appreciate). Each bite was full of authentic flavor without feeling heavy.I honestly can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu. Highly recommend to anyone who loves fresh, high-quality Italian food!

We have been enjoying this delicious precious gem since they opened!!Today was a special birthday lunch!! As always food was delicious,servers were great,Scott was on point and everyone had a wonderful time!!! If you close your eyes the taste of Italy fills your senses!! Great baked goods and authentic Italian style cuisine (sandwiches/paninis, pizza, desserts). Coffee and espresso are quite good. VERY good hospitality. Cafe style dining area with seating inside and outside.

Had a great lunch at Sorelle in Long Grove. Loved the Caprese salad, Cotto sandwich, and cheese ravioli with vodka sauce—everything was super fresh and flavorful. We split a bread pudding and an affogato for dessert, both excellent. Busy spot with counter service and a really good vibe. Will definitely be back.

So glad to have a gem like this in the suburbs. Excellent! My wife grew up with a lot of Sicilians in New York but has struggled to find authentic food and pastries in Chicagoland until Sorelle. Bravo

What a fun and delicious place to eat. Was there for lunch. Nice portions for the price. Took home some cannolis for after dinner and WOW! As I was leaving I saw a bowl of mussels being served for dinner and will be going back to try them out.When the place was full at lunchtime it was a bit loud, just an FYI for those of you who are going for some great food and talking.

The food is absolutely delicious and tastes like it’s of the highest of quality. I have yet to try something at Sorelle that I don’t enjoy! The staff is kind and courteous, and everyone seems to enjoy their job. I can come here with kids, with girlfriends or with my husband and it’s appropriate for each type of gathering. The decor is super cute and makes you feel like you’re dining in the lemon trees of Italy! From coffee to wine, pastries to sandwiches, gelato to pasta — you can’t go wrong! We go regularly and have enjoyed breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert at Sorelle.

I visited Sorelle for the first time last weekend. I came with my mom who has brain cancer and therefore has mobility issues. From the moment we walked in, we felt so taken care of by the team. A man who I assume was the owner or at least the manager on duty that day was so accommodating and kind, telling my mom how fierce she is and allowing us to sit and place or order at our table instead of waiting at the counter. He also helped her up at the end of our meal and helped me pick out a bottle of wine for a friend.The cafe is so cute and charming, every team member we encountered was pleasant and helpful, and the food was delicious! We already are making plans to come back with more family and friends as this is clearly a business worth supporting.

Sorelle is a real cozy corner of Italy in the heart of Mokena. The atmosphere is very homely: dim lighting, stylish interior and pleasant music. An ideal place for both a romantic evening and a family dinner.I ordered Pasta alla Vodka - the pasta was al dente, the sauce was creamy and with a pronounced taste. I also tried Veal Marsala - tender veal with a rich wine sauce, just fantastic. They give fresh bread and delicious olive oil to everything.Service at a high level - the staff is attentive, strong with the choice of dishes, smiling and sincere.Pros:• Authentic Italian cuisine• Cozy atmosphere• Well-chosen wine menuCons:• No place found• Reservations are recommended on weekendsOverall: 9/10 - a great place for those who appreciate real Italian cuisine with a soulful atmosphere. Really delicious campofelice chicken salad with arugula. Big piece of roasted tender chicken seasoned very well. Very filling. Latte was awesome. PANNA cotta with fresh strawberries was creamy and delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. Cute place. Outside seating. Will be back. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.

We loved puffy pizza and lamb shank we ordered! They were delicious! Arugula and chicken salad was fresh and tasty. Arranchini were good too (wish there was a little more filling). The spritz was very yummy. The pastries have a great variety to choose from. We tried pistachio croissant. They have Gelato as well. The coffee selection was pretty good too. Nice place for a family or a girl outing - very cute Italian style interior! Kid-friendliness: Pasta and pizza and Gelato for kids

Lots of reviews for slow service. Good food needs to be prepared and cooked. And this food is well worth any wait. We have never been to Sorelle in person, but have ordered delivery many times. Tonight was the first time we ordered dinner and it confirmed that their breakfast, lunch and dinner are all amazing! The food is fresh, definitely high carbs as other comments mentioned but, it’s Italian! Fresh as in fresh ingredients, sauces made with real tomatoes and garlic; meat that they prepared and didn’t come frozen, fresh. Have never had anything bad here. Their coffees are better than any chain coffee and half the price! Just to confirm their coffee and espresso was good and wasn’t being tricked by their delicious salty butter caramel flavor I ordered an unflavored coffee and cortado… it’s just as good without any flavors. I want to tell everyone about this place but also want to keep it secret. Even m toddlers have it 10 thousand thumbs up! Just a heads up the mussels are spicy, delicious but spicy.

What a delightful and comfortable place! The visual presentation is wonderful—pastries and coffee are arranged beautifully, and the food is displayed so you can see your options. They even have a gelato counter with samples. The wine selection was a hit with my friends. We'll definitely be back and try the beautiful outdoor setting.

A lovely experience overall. It almost reminds me of my travels in Italy. Though it can get a bit crowded, particularly on weekends, the vibrance of this simple, but elegant little restaurant makes up for it. I can definitely see myself coming back often, particularly because of the wide range of vegetarian options.

I visited Sorelle with friends last week. The place was very clean, and I loved the ambiance. The melanzana panino and pistachio panna cotta were both out of this world and reasonably priced. It's a must-try place in Long Grove.
